Admission
The number of applicants aspiring for the Nursing course has increased considerably in the recent years due to the ever-increasing demand for nurses in India and abroad .The sanctioned intake at our institute, at present are 50. Out of which 33 students have been allotted from government selection, and 17 students fall under the management quota. Male candidates are also admitted to the course, as the boys and girls ratio of 1:10.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
* All the columns have to be filled in by candidates in their own hand writing. Filled in application forms should reach office in due time.
* Xerox copy of the +2 mark list should be attached.
* Other state and country candidates should obtain an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.
* Other state candidates also should attach migration certificate from their School /Board
* Community Certificate ( whether she belongs to Backward/most Backward/ SC/ST)should be attached.
* Passport size photographs 4 Nos .should be attached.
* The candidate will be allowed for the admission only with the original certificates of the following,
* +2 Mark Sheet
* 10th Mark sheet
* Transfer Certificate
* Conduct Certificate from the institution last studied
* NOC from the University of Students from other Countries
* Blood Group Certificate
Migration and Eligibility for other State Candidates
ELIGIBILITY:
* Both Female and male candidates are admitted and they should have completed 17 years of age "before 31 st December of the year of admission.
* 12th Standard or equivalent board passed with physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology and English as subjects. Candidates must have obtained 50% aggregate marks on these subjects in the written examination .
* Students under management quota are required to undertake the common entrance test.
Academic and Clinical evaluation:
All students are expected to maintain high academic and clinical performance throughout the programme.A part from university examination, the college holds written examination and reviews clinical performance on a regular basis.Consistent standards of excellence are expected at all times as nursing is a health related profession where optimum skills, attitude and knowledge at all times for the care of patients.
